The Writing Center They assist with all types of writing and communication projects, including: Formal and informal essays, letters and journal entries, Course papers and research projects, Technical reports, memos, summaries, case studies and group reports, Creative writing, alternative writing assignments and digital writing projects, Graduate school and scholarship essays, Cover letters and résumés. They assist in all areas of writing, including: Understanding and responding to an assignment or prompt, Developing arguments, Understanding audience, tone, style and usage, Structure, content and use of sources, Patterns of error (in grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, citation formatting and documentation) and modeling corrections, Understanding and reworking errors; and interpreting comments and feedback from others. Math Lab Housed under the School of Natural Sciences, the Math Lab provides free tutoring services to students enrolled in lower division math courses up to Calculus II. They will work with you to build self-confidence in math and become a more independent learner. We encourage you to visit the lab to study, complete homework assignments and ask questions. Career and Professional Development As soon as you set foot on the hilltop, you are able to meet with a Career and Professional Development (CAPD) team member to discuss choosing a major/career. You will also build connections with potential employers, create a better understanding of yourself and your career options (through assessments) and search for roles both on and off the hilltop. You have access to CAPD services, programming, resources, and tools as a student and as an alumni.

Student Financial Services Their office assists future students applying for assistance for the first time and current students renewing their assistance applications and parents interested in their child's education. They are dedicated to helping you develop a college financing plan that meets your needs. From the day you apply for admission to the day you graduate, your financial aid counselor will be there to help guide you through the financial assistance process. Their office is also responsible for the billing and collection of tuition and fees and residence hall and on-campus apartment charges. Dean of Students Office Seeking help when you are struggling can be difficult and overwhelming. The toolkit connects students in need to programs that serve them. Search for free or reduced-cost services like medical care, food, housing, and transportation in any US zip code. Health Services Partnering with Ascension Medical Group Seton (AMG), the HCC provides convenient, affordable, and quality health care including a wide range of acute and preventative services. Students, faculty, and staff may receive care through HCC’s Health Services.
